
Serena A. Pendleton was born and raised in San Diego, California. She graduated with honors from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She returned to San Diego to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego and was admitted to the California Bar in November 2024.
During law school, Ms. Pendleton demonstrated her commitment to leadership by serving as president of the Black Law Students Association. She volunteered with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program in its Education Advocacy Department, helping families navigate complex educational rights and access issues. She also served as a law clerk for a local school district before joining WPCH as a law clerk and later advancing to Associate.
Ms. Pendleton represents clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Much of her practice focuses on representing government entities and school districts in cases involving personal injury, employment litigation, and negligence-based claims. Her professional memberships include the San Diego County Bar Association and the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association.
